Patty on Postage

Canada Post (the Canadian Postal Corporation) now allows the creation of "personal" postage stamps. In other words, one can have a personal photograph put on an actual postage stamp that is legal for domestic postage. One can choose from three frames for the stamps.
This process has been in effect for some time, however, stickers or labels showing the photograph were originally provided that had to be affixed to a "blank" postage stamp. Recently, the rules were changed and the image is now printed directly on the stamp.
Seen here on the far left is a sheet of stamps (direct prints) I had created for my "Patty" portrait (enhancement of the creature in the Patterson/Gimlin film.) The Canadian Banknote Company that produces the stamps does an outstanding job. As can be seen, the photograph provided is shown on the sheets. On the immediately left is an image of one of the stamps. Remarkably, the stamps themselves do not show that they are "personal' stamps." The text on the stamp simply says "Domestic Postage Paid" in English and French. I mention this because the U.S. also has a personal stamp process, but the stamps indicate that they are personal stamps.
