Rene Was Right - And Now a Challenge

This wood fragment is still a contentious issue in Patterson/Gimlin film studies. Rene Dahinden claimed it was the fragment seen in the film (See page 68 of Meet the Sasquatch). As he did not retrieve the fragment until 1971 (4 years after the filming), it is a little difficult to justify that it stayed in the same spot. Nevertheless, I have found other fragments that stayed in the same spot when I compared Frame 352 to the photo Peter Byrne took in 1972 (See this photo in the NASI Report).
Prior to picking up the fragment in 1971, Rene took a photograph of it in place, with his son, Erik, standing in the creature's path (seen here, and also on page 68 of Meet the Sasquatch. Rene drew the circle).
I was not able to justify its position in this photo as to being the same fragment - that is until I constructed, and then corrected the film site model. During the correction process, it struck me that at a certain angle, the fragment would appear as it does in Rene's photo.

In these photos the fragment (yellow pin) has been placed in the model.
In the far left photo we see the fragment as it appears in Frame 352. In the near left photo we we see the fragment as it appears in Rene's photo (more or less lined up with the tree in the background).
I definitely think that the fragment we have is the same as the one seen in the film frames.
Now the issue is, can it be used to make a measurement of the creature's height? I believe that it is positioned straight enough to perform such a measurement. Also that it is near enough to its body plane to make the measurement "reasonable." I agree that some correction is necessary for the camera angle, but think such could be done. I have done a calculation on exactly what can be seen, but it needs to be refined. The exact length of the fragment is 26.25 inches, including both extremities. If anyone would like to work on this, please be my guest. Frame 307, shown here, is the best frame to work on. The given is:
GIVEN THE WOOD FRAGMENT RETRIEVED BY RENE DAHINDEN IS THE SAME FRAGMENT SEEN IN THE PATTERSON/GIMLIN FILM FRAMES, THEN THE CREATURE'S WALKING HEIGHT IN FRAME 307 WOULD BE: (Your calculation).
