Author Biography: Mr. Helmut Hirnschall came to Canada from Austria in 1960 at the age of twenty-seven years. Over the next ten years he specialized in silk-screening and also worked as a commercial artist. He then decided to become a freelance artist and now primarily devotes his talents to book illustration.
Among the many books that he has illustrated is the best seller My Heart Soars by Chief Dan George. His book illustrations, as well as his other work span a wide range of subjects. Through his work he demonstrates his perceptiveness and sensitivity to the wild. He lives in Vancouver with his family. |
