Author Biography:

Sirdar Mohamed Osman was born in 1925, in Dehra Dun India. He did his Senior cambridge from St. Joseph's Academy Dehra Dun to later serve as Project Manager in the Fhillmand Valley Authority in Afghanistan for a period of over five years. He returned to Dehra Dun in 1953 and later joined the Oil and Gas Commission of India to finally retire as Geophysicist in 1983. He has produced over fourty scientific papers concerning birds of prey and wildlife in general and intends to continue his search and research in this field for sometime to come.
It is clear that SM Osman has led an amazing life centered around his falconry and the in-depth study of the wildlife that surrounded him. He traveled throughout India, Pakistan and Afghanistan in pursuit of his falconry, in fact, his advetures cover a great deal of Central Saia. This entire area has always been referred to as The Land of the Sun and his tales of these amazing travels in this land are shared with us here. This area is rich in the history of falconry, and his own lineage boasts several successive generations who have all enjoyed and spent a great deal of time immersed in this sport.
