How Come Im Dead - Full Synopsis
How come I'm dead? Covers the highlights of 26 years in the career of Judge Glen McDonald, who was the colorful and often controversial Vancouver Coroner from 1954 to 1980 and Supervisory Coroner for the Province of British Columbia from 1969 to 1980. The reader gets an inside look at the hitherto unpublished story of what really went on in the morgue the hectic night movie star Errol Flynn died suddenly in Vancouver in 1959. He is taken high up the slopes of British Columbia's towering Mount Sleese in a vain search for bodies after a Trans-Canada Airlines North Star aircraft crashed on the mountain's peak in 1956, killing 62 passengers and crew. Although the stories in How Come I'm Dead? are primarily concerned with death, the book does not take a negative and depressing approach to the subject. Instead the authors examine how death, the ultimate common denominator in life, can be used as an educational tool to protect the living. How Come I'm Dead? is a thoughtful distillation of 26 years of history. Its pages are filled with humor, philosophy and enormous empathy. It is a book about life.
