The following PDF is an article I prepared in light of the sasquatch being chosen as a mascot for the 2010 Winter Olympics in British Columbia.
The Sasquatch/Bigfoot issue is probably the most intriguing of all cryptozoology issues. The main reason is that the creature leaves his calling card in the form of footprints, handprints, hair and droppings. Furthermore, the number of reported sightings has now gone beyond count. I know at least 4,000 cases have been reasonably documented. Current estimates put the number of sightings each year at around 400. Taking that number and factoring in population changes in North America, there have been at least 20,000 sightings over the past 100 years. Having now been deeply involved in the Sasquatch/Bigfoot issue since 1993, hardly a week goes by without something coming to my attention that I did not know. My current project, The Sasquatch Chronicle, has me digging into thousands of documented sasquatch-related cases, most of which are in what I call The Fuhrmann Files, a massive amount of information collected by the late John Fuhrmann over some 35 years. In a way, it is much like an archeological dig, with bits and pieces of information coming to the surface that through the passing of time have gained much more importance than when they were "buried."
The Murphy File is intended to be a sort of fireside chat: something new, something old, something never told. As I either reflect upon or uncover things of interest, I will feature them here, but not in lengthy detail or in any particular order. Please check with me first before using my material on your own website.
The Murphy File starts below with the most recently created item. Please browse and or comment. If you are unable to see any articles from The Murphy File, below, please click here
