Author Biography
Mark Angelo is a globally renowned river conservationist, speaker, teacher, writer, adventurer, and paddler. He is the Chair and founder of World Rivers Day, now celebrated by millions of people in close to 100 countries. Among his many accolades, he is a recipient of both the Order of Canada and the Order of British Columbia for his efforts to protect and restore rivers both locally and around the world.
His work has also been the subject of several feature films. Mark has paddled more than 1000 rivers in well over 100 countries, perhaps more than any other individual. Mark resides in Burnaby, British Columbia.
